Pathways is about welcoming people to Vintage and getting them on a path towards spiritual growth and plugged in to the church body.
For individuals who are new to our church, we want to welcome you and present you with a gift as a thank you for attending our services. When you arrive, you should receive a Worship Guide. Simply fill out the Communication Card at the back of the guide and bring it to the Pathways booth. You'll receive a special gift and we hope that you'll return.
After you have visited us a few times, we'd like you to meet the leadership of Vintage after service has ended at our Newcomers Reception. This is a simple, 5-10 minute informal gathering where you can get to know our pastor and other leaders and we can answer any questions that you may have. We will also share with you our vision for Vintage and the mission that we have undertaken.
In order to allow you to connect with other believers at Vintage, we regularly hold fun and entertaining events outside of church. Whether it is going to sporting events or participating in fun group activities, we hope that you will find individuals at Vintage that you can connect with and build relationships with.
If you are interested in learning more about how Vintage works and why we exist and do what we do, we can arrange an in-home visit with our leadership where we can go into depth about our church. We want to make Vintage accessible to you and allow you to know what we have planned for the future. We also offer several Life Development Classes that will help you to understand more about Vintage and what it means to be a Christian.
We also hold several small groups around McKinney. Please see our Small Groups page to learn more about them. These groups meet on a regular basis to study the Word of God and how it applies to our lives.
Vintage is very involved in our community and we have several places where you can volunteer. We hold an exposition of opportunities every couple of months so that you can see what is available and interesting to you.
If you wish to commit to Vintage further, there are several opportunities to help. Whether it is working with kids and students or working to set up and tear down each weekend, we can find a place to plug you in.
There are individuals who have been given gifts of leadership and we try to recognize that and provide opportunities for you to lead others. We start by mentoring our apprentice leaders and encourage them to grow. As leaders mature, we give them greater responsibilities and ask that they then mentor other new leaders.
Throughout this process, we want to make sure that you have the opportunity to live your personal story. We want to partner with you as you move down the pathway at Vintage Church. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact Ken Rice.
