Ken Rice:

I am first a follower of Jesus, husband to my high school sweet heart and love of my life Jalee AKA “Angel” and the father of two amazing kids, Kaden and McKenlee.

I am the lead and founding pastor of Vintage Church. My story begins back in 1999 when I left a corporate career to follow what I believe to be a calling on my life. I served as a youth pastor for almost 6 years in Texas then as a senior associate pastor for four years in Colorado before following God into this crazy dream called Vintage Church.

I have a dream to see the church become what God intended and to stop playing religious games… It’s not about buildings, bucks and butts, it’s about helping people find hope, peace and passion through Jesus. Nothing makes me feel more alive than to witness a person come face to face with the redemption of Jesus, because life truly changes at that moment.

Tanya Carlson:

As recent transplants to the great state of Texas, my husband Brian and I are still trying to figure out our Ya’ll and Yee Haw, but we are quickly falling in love with life here in McKinney. We have two boys, Jacob and Joshua, who keep us on our toes and our youngest is teaching us the proper way to cheer for the Longhorns (Hook Em Horns!)

I am so excited to be part of a church that chooses to follow the example of the New Testament and pursue the mission of Christ. My passion (and the goal of Alpha) is to work with people where they are in their faith journey and give them a place to explore, process and question the meaning of life and the relevance of Jesus in that context. Seeing people take ownership of their faith and learn how to live it out in service to God and others is the best part of any day.

Josh Calhoun:

My name is Josh Calhoun, I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. My story starts when I gave my life to God at 13, and called into ministry at the age of 16. Ever since that day I was called into ministry, God has been working in me to transform me into the man He wants me to be. I am currently in the process of attending Christ For The Nations Institute, studying the school of youth track.

I am a leader in Vintage Students and love what I do. Seeing this generation transformed through discipleship is my heartbeat. I couldn’t be happier with being involved with Vintage Church, to be apart of something much bigger than myself is huge. Although I am still young, God has plans for me that I can’t even fathom at this point and I can’t wait to see where He leads me throughout my life.

Gerrit Huston:

My family and I recently relocated to McKinney six months ago from Seattle WA. I have been married for 14 years to Jeff and we have two beautiful children. Tycho is 12 and Taryn is 10. Our family stays busy year-round with various sports activities, all of which I enjoy coaching.

I interned under Nancy Beach at Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois and was later on staff at Overlake Christian Church in Seattle. I have a passion for Creative Arts within the church. It is my heart’s desire to use creative elements within a service to move people closer to Christ.

Among the many hats I wear, I lead the “Serve” portion at Vintage. It is my desire to provide venues of service to our community outside the four walls of a church. We can actually BE the church instead of just attending church. This also allows me to do things that I love such as dig in the dirt, swing a hammer, and operate large power tools.

I have the amazing privilege of leading an incredible group of volunteers for Vintage Kids. I love children and my background is in education. I think that the reason that I like children so much is because I myself am a kid caught in an adult’s body!

I gave my life to Christ when I was in my early twenties. The journey has been that of valleys and high places. I am overwhelmed each day by what God is doing and I’m learning how to come to peace with Him… and myself.

Christina Stevens:

I grew up in Southeast Arkansas with a mom who was a strong believer in being at church every time there was a service. I strongly believe the impact being in church and having my life poured into by great prayer warriors that love God with all their hearts is what helped me grow into who I am today. I knew at a young age that I was called and created to work with children. It was this passion that brought me to Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, TX in 2006 to pursue a degree in Elementary Education, and somehow in the process I met Jason. God has such a great sense of humor because my first impression of Jason was that he was far from a nice guy, but we’ve been happily married since January 3, 2009. We have the best nieces in the world, and soon we’ll have the best nephew ever! We are the proud (most of the time) owners of a one year old, seven pound Lhasa-Apso named Cooper. He’s the greatest when he wants to be.

I have been involved in ministry for 13 years (for those of you who are counting, I was nine) and was super excited to be asked to come help with Vintage Kids. My dream for Vintage Kids is that we would lay the foundation for a new generation of Christ followers in McKinney that will reach out to their friends and classmates to share the Good News of Jesus. I desire to pour into the lives of these kids the same way the sweet people in a country church in Arkansas poured into my life.

Jalee Rice:

I have been married for 18 years and am a mother of two amazing children. Kaden is 10 and McKenlee is 8. My passion is to see people encounter the living God through corporate and personal worship. I have had to privilege of leading worship for the last 11 years. While in beautiful state of Colorado, I attended New Life School of Worship in Colorado Springs. My hobbies include writing, various arts, and gardening without gloves. It is absolutely necessary for me to begin my day with coffee. It is quite important to maintain my day with the sweet nectar of Diet Coke. Ben and Jerry are very close friends of mine. Although I am a Texas native, I am not a fan of country music or cowboy boots. (I will not hold it against you if you are.) My favorite non-color is black. (Do not hold this against me.)

Drusilla Segovia:

Hola, Drusilla here. I have been married for 13 years to the perfect man (for me at least). Ray -he's a 10. We share 4 awesome kiddos together, they drive us crazy at times but we luv em. Our oldest is Raymond, 13, he loves sports and will be our NFL star. Raeshelle, 12, she loves to talk (J/K), she also loves sports and aspires to be a Fashion Designer. Josef, 10, is definitely going to be a chef. Raelyn, 4, loves animals and wants to be a Veterinarian. As of now she spends a lot of her time cuddling with me and I love it! The kids keep us busy and we wouldn't have it any other way. We moved here 5 years ago from Cali and we love it.

I came to know Christ at 19 and with the past I had it was hard to accept he could love me - but he does and the journey has been awesome. I just wanted to go where God wanted to send me and I think he sent me to the best place ever; to LOVE, HUG, PLAY, TEACH and ENCOURAGE young people, mainly ITTY BITTYS. For the past 14 years this is where he has put me and I am still LOVIN IT! Itty Bittys are such a blessing with so much to give and such a desire to learn new things, the joy and excitement you see in their faces when they learn something new about Christ is so amazing to see. What a pleasure they are.

Vintage is such an awesome place and it is such a blessing to have the opportunity to be able to serve here, a place where you are the church rather than just going to a church. It is a great place for our little ones to begin to Learn to Live, Live to Serve from the beginning, because they are the future!

BTW- ITTY BITTYS R THE BESTEST!!!!!!
